June 23, 30 and July 7, 2018

Saturday June 23rd 3-5pm Who am I? Self Study (Svadhaya) “Study thyself and discover the divine.” Yoga Sutras 11.44. At this workshop we will establish what it means to know thyself and how to start that discovery. We will touch on the 8 limbs of yoga to create a foundation for our study. Saturday June 30th 3-5pm What are chakras? “There is deep wisdom within our very flesh, if we can only come to our senses and feel it.” Learn the what & where for the 7 main chakras. Learn how to use asana, pranayama, and bandhas to cultivate awareness of these energy centers. What to expect: To move, to learn, and to feel.
Sunday July 7th, 3-5pm What is manifestation? “All that we are is a result of what we have thought.” - Buddha Here we will discuss the 5 koshas to help create a deeper understanding of life. We will integrate that knowledge to the awareness gained from the self and the chakras. All leading to manifesting the life we desire. What to expect: To practice, to study, and to integrate.
"I found yoga, then I found myself. It wasn’t long after that I start working my way towards the front of the room and became a yoga instructor. After 4 years teaching, my passion remains to help others to see and experience the yoga that inspired me. Join me in this practice that I strive to take with me off the mat and everywhere I go." - Angel

Weekend with Dustin Turner
July 20-22, 2018
This entire weekend is excellent for beginners and appropriate for absolutely everyone regardless of condition or stage in life. Attend just one session, two or all three!
Friday 20th 6-9pm The Foundations of Asana - Yoga is a basic art form. The key to safe and effective execution of yoga postures is a stage-appropriate methodology. Learn how to sequence and modify poses to get the most out of your practice. This class focuses on how to make asanas anatomically precise and aesthetically beautiful. The first half hour begins with a dharma discourse that explores yoga philosophy and its contemporary embodiments.
Saturday 21st 12-4pm Over Done and Under Taught - With over twelve hundred basic poses and over a million variations, it is easy to gloss over something as we excitedly explore all that the tradition has to offer us. But after our first months, we learn that each pose has deep work and alignment built into it that it can change our whole perception of the practice. In this class, we will look at “common” poses that, if we slow down and get into the subtle workings of, we will find vast amounts of yoga to explore as we shape the self.
Sunday 22nd 12-4pm Run to the Roar - We all see poses we want to do, but are unsure as to how to get there. B.K.S. Iyengar had a saying that you, "run towards to roar instead of away from it.” You already know where you have been, so your point of growth is in that place of fear. We will explore some poses that students may find intimidating, and we will begin breaking those poses down, building the structure and confidence to do them.
Dustin Turner has studied yoga for over 15 years, using it as a therapy to heal issues in his own body. He studied with celebrated teachers like Judith Lasater, Gabriel Halpern, and Manuso Manos. Dustin works to integrate wisdom from older traditions into a form and use for modern day problems, with innovative use of props to deepen practice in both active and restorative asana. All of Dustin’s work is rooted in the healing aspects of yoga for all levels of practitioner.
The Investment for the entire weekend is $130 or $50 per session. Individual sessions Friday, Saturday or Sunday may be purchased off the schedule or in the studio. The Register Now button below is for the full weekend option which may also be purchased online or in studio before or on Friday July 20th.
Individual sessions Friday, Saturday or Sunday may be purchased by registering off the schedule.

We are under constant bombardment – news, social media, demands from family and friends, and other people’s dramas. To protect ourselves, we hunch our way through each day with rounded back, layering ourselves with indifference and distrust, to protect our most treasured center – our heart. But what we may not realize is that if we take that chance in being vulnerable, we can open ourselves to wonderful experiences in our lives.
“Open your heart, ignite the flame in your being and awaken the natural flow of life energy in your heart. When your heart opens, the world around you changes.” -Mingtong Gu
