Private, Semi-Private and Group Yoga Lessons at the Ozark Mountain Yoga Studio are an experience! Expect expert attention to your needs before during and after your scheduled appointment. Not only will you have the opportunity to enjoy individualized attention in the studio, but weather permitting you may also be able to experience a privately guided practice on our rooftop eco-deck and be able to meditate or lounge afterwards for as long as you like. The opportunity to carry and continue your bliss to the roof is always available whether you began there or  in the studio.

Private Class

Private Yoga Lessons (Appointments) are a great way to get introduced into yoga or work on specific areas of an existing practice and average between one to two hours. 
All of our teachers take the time to consult with you about your expectations and to prepare you for what will be addressed and worked on during your session before you ever step through the door. A discussion after the session can also be expected as well as a follow-up email detailing the areas worked on and how you can implement what was learned. 

* Private class often includes an unlimited monthly membership. 

Semi-Private Class

Semi-Private Yoga Lessons are ideal for 2-3 people who have the same goals in common. 
This may be beginners, those interested in specific areas like arm balancing or those that just don 't like crowds. Following the same protocol as single private lessons, your teacher will communicate beforehand with the registering student to discuss group expectations and to provide instructions for their sessions.
Afterwards the same follow-up will be provided for overall synthesis of the experience. 

Group Class

Have a group of friends that want to try or already have a love of yoga? Or are you a coach looking for a more flexible team? 

Group yoga lessons at Ozark Mountain Yoga are the way to go. We can accommodate groups from 4 to 40, and can go off-site. This is a great option for birthdays, bridal showers, team building, any other special event, or just because you can!

You get all the same great amenities of a private teacher the studio and eco-roof, plus we can coordinate catering or any kind of group activity that you may be able to think of.

Vinyasa (vi-nyah-sa) Krama (krah-mah)

Vinyasa Krama is a Sanskrit term that may be broken down to assist in its translation. Nasa denotes "to place" and vi denotes "in a special way" and Krama denotes "order or sequence" leading to a special place. The most common definition of Vinyasa Krama as related to our practice of yoga is: linking of body movement with breath towards a specific pose or goal.  This is the unique style of Ozark Mountain Yoga. We guide you on a journey up to  a peak pose and back down by a different path every time with the goal of you eventually climbing that mountain yourself and establishing your own practice.

Hatha (hah-tah) Yoga

Hatha yoga is a branch of yoga that emphasizes physical exercises to master the body along with mind exercises to withdraw it from external objects. The word haṭha literally means "force" in Sanskrit, and may have this association because the early Indians believed that its practice was challenging and "forced its results to happen" on the yogi.  The term "Hatha yoga" connotes a system of supplementary physical techniques within the broader concept of Yoga. The Hatha yoga practice emphasizes proper diet, processes to internally purify the body, proper breathing (pranayama) and its regulation particularly during asanas (bodily postures).
